To make these mini pies, you will use a standard sized muffin tin. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees. While your oven is heating up, cut large circles out of your pre-made pie dough. I used the top of a plastic tub to make my circles.

Cut out dough

Next, you will lay the circles into the muffin tin and press the dough to form along the bottom and sides of the wells. Then fill each pie crust with a heaping spoonful of cherry pie filling.

Fill Cupcake Wells with Dough

Finish each pie off by cutting a smaller circle out of your pie dough and laying on top of the cherry filled pie bottoms. Make sure to crimp the edges so the filling does not leak out of the sides and cut small holes in the top of the pie crust to help let out steam. You can also get creative with your pie tops by cutting out strips of dough and weaving them together to create a basket weaved pie topper look. Then bake in the oven for 30 minutes, or until golden brown.

Fill, Topper, and Bake

When the pies are done cooking, take out of the oven and let cool before removing from the tin. Then serve them up and enjoy!
