Since the invitation you send will be your guests first impression of your back to school party, I thought it was important to find charming back to school party invitations that conveyed the back to school party theme through their appearance and wording. After searching high and low, looking for awesome invitations that you can either download and print or DIY, I have found 5 adorable back to school party invitations that fit the bill! Today, I will be sharing these with you.
Welcome back to our Back to School Party planning series! I am super excited to dive into today’s party element: the back to school party invitations! I believe every party deserves to begin with sending physical invitations to your desired guests. Party invitations are important because they give your guests a first impression for your event AND they also help your guests know what to expect at your party. Additionally, receiving physical invitations (whether printed or handmade) makes your guests feel super special because you took the time to print/make the invitation, address it, and send it! It also helps to build your party comers excitement of attending your party.
If you are just starting to read this Back to School Party series, I highly suggest going back to start this series at the beginning. In the first installment within this series, we talk about what a Back to School Party is, why you should host one, and what you can expect in the party planning posts to come. All of the posts in this series can certainly be read exclusive of each other, however, reading them all consecutively will give you the full party guide that will help you plan your own Back to School Party this summer! You can find the first post in this series by clicking here!

5 Adorable Back to School Party Invitations
This invitation has a classic back to school feel with its featured lined notebook paper background and fonts that give off a permanent marker/highlighter vibe. The Back 2 School Invitation is fairly simple, but it gets the point across and has the right school-like impression.
This is the only DIY invitation in today’s line up! This invitation also has the school-like aura about it by using the lined notebook paper background! The invitation itself is a FREE printable that you can get from One Charming Party by clicking here. The best part about this DIY tutorial, however, it the handmade “folder” that you place the invitation in when sending it! Love this idea!
Since this invitation is created in pink hues, this invite would be best used for a Back to School Party for a school girl! I love the hand-drawn feel of the invitation – making it seem like a little girl drew and colored the invite herself! This invitation also reflects both elements to a back to school party – the celebration of the summer and the excitement looking forward to the new school year!
I love the wording on this invitation for the party name: Back to School Bash! This digital downloadable invitation has the exact school-like vibes that you would want for a back to school party. The black background color really helps to pop all of the artwork on the invitation, and the large wording stands out and looks really school-ish!
This final invitation also includes both elements of a back to school party – the end of summer and the beginning of the school year. I love the school bus drawing and the multi-colored letters in the wording that make it feel very scholastic!
All five of these invitations are simply adorable… don’t you think? Now that I’ve done the hard work of finding these super cute back to school party invitations, it is up to you to pick your favorite (or perhaps get inspired to create your own) and send off your party invitations to all of your children’s friends. Make sure to do this ASAP! That way you can get as many of your kid’s friends to come as possible by planning ahead of time.
I am now challenging you to pick, print or hand-make, and send your invitations to all of your desired guests before the next segment of this series is released (which will be on Monday)!
